About the Event
Born in Florida, raised in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Midway Island, and Southern California, JT is retired and now with his wife Malinda, they have found a place called home in the Carson Valley. His passion has always been for wildlife and the outdoors and for the past fifty years he has played with photography on and off. JT's main photographic focus these days include wild horses, bears, wildcats, and raptors and will spend hours alone with his subjects to put them at ease allowing him to capture their most intimate moments.
From the Carson Valley.org website: JT Humphrey's passion has always been wildlife and the outdoors, from viewing to protecting, to capturing those shots that he envisions in his head, and to share those photos for others to enjoy and learn from. Much of his wildlife exposure has been in Yellowstone National Park, working with rangers, biologists, geologists, naturalists, and researchers over a 30 year period.
Join JT as he talks about his time spent in the wild. This is a very casual presentation so bring your questions about our local wildlife or backcountry questions!
JT offers tours to photograph wild horses, eagles, owls, and petroglyphs.
